+ Does Gulf Coast ABA & Autism Services (GCAABAS) offer direct services within the school setting?

At this time we do not offer in-person services but please contact us about a training for your school staff.

+ Does GCAABAS accept insurance?

At this time we do not. We will update the website as soon as we do.

+ What ages does Gulf Coast ABA & Autism Services serve?

Currently we serve clients ages three (3) to fifteen (15.)

+ What geographical areas does GCABAAS serve?

Currently we are accepting clients in the United States and Canada, but only through Virtual consultation.

+ Does the caregiver need to be present during the home session?

All initial virtual consultations will be held with the caregivers. Later on, some sessions may be had with the child only, if the child is capable of staying in front of the camera for the session and the parent wishes to be in an adjacent room nearby.

+ Does GCABAAS employ Registered Behavior Technicians?

As of Feb. 2022, we have shifted to a Consultation model only and do not offer services delivered by RBT's.

+ Do you offer online courses for parents?

We are currently working on providing online courses for parents/caregivers and would love to know what content you are interested in, as parents.

+ Do you follow HIPAA guidelines?

+ What COVID-19 health and safety protocols do you adhere to?

We are meeting all clients virtually via our online platforms only. Trainings at schools are currently on hold.

+ What does being Board Certified in Behavior Analysis entail?

There are four levels of Certification, from Registered Behavior Technician, to Behavior Assistant Analyst (Bachelors level), to Masters and Doctorate Levels. For more information please go to www.bacb.com

+ What skill assessments does GCABAAS utilize?

We utilize various assessments including the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program) created by Mark Sundberg, Ph.D., BCBA-D, and The AFLS (the Assessment of Functional Living Skills) created by James Partington, Ph.D., BCBA-D. Currently we are accepting clients in the Brandon/Riverview/Apollo Beach/ Wimauma areas, as well as South Tampa and some areas as far south as Sarasota.

+ Does the parent need to be present during the home session?

An adult (over the age of 18) will need to be home during the session. It is recommended the parent be present and available for the first thirty (30) minutes and the last fifteen (15) minutes of the session at a minimum. Along with being available during these times, the parent will benefit immensely if they attend a forty five (45) – sixty (60) minute meeting with the BCBA as a minimum, once every four (4) weeks.

+ Does GCABAAS employ Registered Behavior Technicians?

Anyone working with our clients holds Behavior Analysis Certifications. We will be onboarding Registered Behavioral Technicians in the near future.

To ensure the health and safety of our clients and their families we have developed a Covid-19 Safety protocol. We are meeting new clients (virtually) via our online platforms or in a remote office that is sanitized every hour. If we visit you at your home and bring toys or props, please know that we have sanitized the items prior to the session.
